Our Mission
The mission of Pitkin County Senior Services is to facilitate quality of life and independence for individuals over 60. We provide responsive, reliable services and creative programs that enable residents and visitors over age 60 to remain as independent as possible within our community. Our goal is to assist seniors to maintain a quality of life consistent with their personal abilities and expectations. |
About the Senior Council
The mission of the Senior Council is to be an active advocate for the physical, social, recreational, and cultural needs of Pitkin County seniors. The council monitors and assists county staff in developing and working towards goals to improve the quality of life of seniors in the community. The Senior Council is an advisory board for the Senior Center which meets 11 times a year. It is composed of seniors and other interested community members.
