Brain Fitness
Total Brain Health®: A Whole Brain Workout
 
        This course is based on decades of research and science which shows better brain health can be achieved through regular brain workouts, combined with a healthy diet and an active and social lifestyle, no matter your age.
        The 6-week program focuses on the wellness spectrum of mind, body and spirit for maintaining a healthy brain. Weekly sessions on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. last up to 1 hour, with a different brain workout challenge assigned each week. You must enroll for the series. Space is limited. Previous participants give the program high praise.

Balance Class: 
Tuesday • 10:00 (Krista Fox) The exercises and activities offered have proven to prevent falls. Activities adaptable for any level. Free for all ages.

Tai Chi/Qigong:
Thursday • 10:00 (Ross Douglass)

Helps reduce joint & arthritis pain; improve balance, breathing and grace. $5/class

Tone & Stretch:
Friday • 9:00 (Christi Couch)
This core strength balance class uses the fundamentals of Pilates, the balanced development of the deep and superficial muscles that stabilize, align and move the trunk of the body, especially the abdominals and muscles of the back, to achieve a strong spine. $5/class
 
Yoga:

Wednesday & Friday • 10:15 (Mary Anderson)
Wonderful Hatha Yoga for any level—beginner to advanced. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, improved posture and circulation as well as stress reduction. $5/class

Wellness
Senior Health Fair at AVH 
Smiles for Seniors
​​This program provides adults age 60 and over with oral evaluations, oral cancer screenings, cleanings, fluoride varnishes, oral health education, and treatment referrals.
The focus is to provide quality preventive care for seniors from Aspen to Parachute and to connect them with a dental home. Service is currently offered every other month, with mid-valley and Aspen locations. Call Kelly Keeffe at (970) 309-2064 for information and appointments.
