This core strength balance class uses the fundamentals of Pilates, the balanced development of the deep and superficial muscles that stabilize, align and move the trunk of the body, especially the abdominals and muscles of the back, to achieve a strong spine. $5/class

Wonderful Hatha Yoga for any level—beginner to advanced. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, improved posture and circulation as well as stress reduction. $5/class

Smiles for Seniors
This program provides adults age 60 and over with oral evaluations, oral cancer screenings, cleanings, fluoride varnishes, oral health education, and treatment referrals.
The focus is to provide quality preventive care for seniors from Aspen to Parachute and to connect them with a dental home. Service is currently offered every other month, with mid-valley and Aspen locations. Community Health Services at 970-920-5420 for information and appointments.

Midvalley Family Practice is collaborating with Pitkin County Senior Services to provide mental health support & nursing care at no cost to you.
COMMUNITY NURSING - Thursdays • 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Offering health checks and education about healthy living and aging.
Provided by Jannatul Nayeem, a nurse who holds a master's in public health, has excellent nursing skills, and a deep understanding of how to improve physical health at all stages in life. She'll provide blood pressure checks, heart rate checks and topical education sessions from healthy eating to chronic disease management.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT - Fridays • 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Offering therapy and counseling service to address the unique needs of older adults including grief & loss, caregiver stress, and the burden of living with chronic health issues.
Provided by Michelle Skagen, a social worker who works with all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, conflict in relationships, parenthood, and aging.
